Durslade, Hauser & Wirth Somerset – Art Gallery

Hauser & Wirth, one of the world's leading art galleries for contemporary and modern art, opens a gallery and arts centre in July 2014 at the historic site of Durslade Farm in Bruton, Somerset, in the southwest of England. Under the plans developed by Luis Laplace, the former stables and workshops will form a reading room, library, education space and office.

The cowsheds are being converted into a restaurant, visitors' entrance and bookshop, and the barns into three gallery spaces. Laplace has also developed two new gallery buildings, designed to sit sensitively in scale behind the barns and cowsheds.
