L'antichambre de Rubirosa, AD Intérieurs 2014, Musée des Arts Décoratifs

Luis Laplace revisits the crossed universe of this outstanding man who lived in a townhouse on the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Men yearn to be him. Women allow themselves to fall into the man-bait trap. The architect envisions a Parisian, masculine, elegant and Latin interior marked above all by ambiguity. The contemporary artworks outline the obsessions of this man, intermittent of marriage – rather single, adventurous and free. The choice of furniture and materials in the penumbra reveal the turmoil of the seducer. Happenstance placed a door which, as an architectural element, like in Hitchcock movies, intrigues guests.
